Meet Fetch
-
Every duck hunter knows the moment.
The bird is down, but getting to it is the problem.
Without a retriever dog, recovery often means:
• Wading into deep or cold water
• Launching a kayak or canoe
• Moving a carefully positioned boat
• Walking around a marsh or pond
• Waiting and hoping the wind pushes the bird closer
These situations cost time, disrupt the hunt, and can sometimes create unnecessary safety risks.
Fetch was developed specifically to address these challenges while helping hunters recover birds more efficiently and ethically.
-
Fetch is a purpose-built motorized waterfowl retriever designed to help hunters recover downed ducks and geese safely, efficiently, and without disrupting the hunt.
Whether you're hunting from a blind, a boat, a public-land spot, or a shoreline setup, retrieval can quickly become one of the most challenging parts of the hunt. Deep water, cold temperatures, submerged debris, strong wind, and difficult access can turn a successful shot into a frustrating recovery.
Fetch was built to give hunters another option.
Instead of leaving the blind, moving the boat, launching a kayak, or stepping into hazardous water, hunters can deploy Fetch, guide it to the bird, and bring it back while staying in position.
-
Fetch is not a toy. It is not a novelty gadget.
It is a rugged field tool designed for real hunting conditions.
Built around a durable frame, protected electronics, and a simple one-handed controller, Fetch is designed to fit naturally alongside the gear hunters already trust in the field.
Its purpose is simple:
Recover birds when traditional retrieval methods are difficult, impractical, or unsafe.
-
Fetch represents a new category in waterfowl hunting equipment.
Protected by patent-backed innovation and developed around a real-world hunting problem, Fetch was created for hunters who need another retrieval option when traditional methods are difficult, risky, or impractical.
Designed for Real Hunting Situations
-
You've spent hours getting the setup right. The boat is brushed in, the decoys are set, and birds are working.
Then a duck lands in water that's too deep to wade.
Instead of tearing apart the setup to retrieve one bird, Fetch lets you stay in position and keep hunting.
-
Not every hunter has a retriever dog, boat, or private land access.
Fetch provides a portable retrieval option that can help recover birds without hauling extra equipment into the field.
-
Cold water, deep mud, submerged debris, strong wind, and other hazards can make retrieval difficult.
In some regions, hunters may also encounter alligators or other wildlife that make entering the water undesirable.
Fetch provides another option when safety becomes a concern.
-
Retriever dogs are an important part of waterfowl hunting tradition, and nothing replaces a great dog.
But there are situations where a dog may be injured, aging, unavailable, inexperienced, or simply not the right option for the conditions.
Fetch was designed to serve as a practical backup tool when needed.
Purpose-Built for Waterfowl Recovery
-
Unlike general-purpose remote-controlled boats or hobby products, Fetch was designed specifically for retrieving waterfowl.
Key features include:
• Purpose-built retrieval system
• Durable metal frame construction
• One-handed joystick-style controller
• Compact and portable design
• Replaceable modular components
• Rugged pontoons and protected propellers
• Removable battery system
• Capacity for multiple ducks or a goose
Every part of Fetch was designed around one goal:
Helping hunters recover birds and stay in the hunt.
-
Responsible hunters understand the importance of recovering every bird possible.
Fetch supports ethical recovery by helping hunters reach birds that might otherwise be difficult to access due to water depth, distance, weather conditions, or terrain.
It is designed to help hunters recover birds more efficiently while reducing unnecessary risk and disruption.
-
Fetch performs best in:
• Open water
• Marshes
• Ponds
• Lakes
• Light vegetation
• Windy conditions
• Water deeper than approximately 3–4 inches
As with any field equipment, users should exercise good judgment and avoid conditions where recovery of the product itself could become unsafe.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
None whatsoever, we love them! Honestly there’s nothing like hunting over a well-trained retriever.
Fetch is not meant to replace hunting dogs. Instead, it’s meant as an alternative for folks who don’t have one for whatever reason - whether that be the very significant long-term time commitment, the high upfront and ongoing costs of training/medical care/feeding, and non-starters like pet allergies and housing restrictions on pets.
That said, a lot of dog owners love Fetch too. Fetch can make life easier on an aging or injured retriever. It’s also a great backup when your pup is still learning the ropes. Using Fetch gives dog owners peace of mind in the early season when gators might still be active.
-
Two or three on average depending on the size of the ducks.
-
Yes! The Fetch cage is sized to accommodate most average sized geese like Canadas, Specklebellies, and Snows.
-
Estimated runtime for a new Fetch battery is [X] to [Y] hours depending on outside temperature and other factors. This is typically plenty for your average waterfowl hunt. The battery is also field-replaceable so you can swap it out for a fully charged backup as needed. Estimated runtime for the remote battery is >10 hours on a full charge.
-
Plenty far for any hunt. Technically this bad boy is estimated to have a 300m range under ideal conditions but our guess is you won’t run Fetch farther than 50-70 yards from your blind or boat under most circmstances.
-
New, unopened items can be returned for a full refund (less return shipping) within 30 days. More details here. This policy may relax as Fetch grows but for now we cannot eat the substantial costs of repackaging and restocking open merchandise. Don’t worry though, we 100% have your back for valid warranty claims!
